Corkcicle Implements Local Business Push

In a time where small businesses are having to make tough decisions due to COVID-19, Corkcicle is shining a spotlight on its local retailers. The manufacturer launched a new strategy tailored to help its independent retail partners earn sales dollars while having to reduce hours or even close their doors.

“Due to the unprecedented spread of COVID-19, many of our retail partners have made the noble decision to take preventative measures and close their doors. As you might imagine, this public service comes at an incredible expense to the livelihood of their business and staff. In order to help supplement revenue for these stores while their doors are closed, we’ve decided to take action by providing you with a unique opportunity,” the company posted on its website.

For the next three weeks, the company will give Corkcicle.com customers the opportunity to support their favorite local U.S.-based business while practicing social distancing, said Corkcicle.

Each retailer received a code unique to them to use in marketing and other activities. Customers can then shop online at Corkcicle.com and put the code in the section titled “support my local store.”

“During this time, we will credit that store for your purchase as if it has been bought directly from them,” the brand posted on its social media sites.
