Cooks of Crocus Hill, with locations in St. Paul and Minneapolis, MN, will open the first Wüsthof concept shop, within its North Loop Minneapolis location. The grand opening is scheduled to take place on Friday, October 11 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
According to store co-owner Marie Dwyer, the retailer worked closely with Wüsthof to develop the concept shop, which will showcase a mix of both classic and the latest cutlery assortment from the brand. The concept shop will be clean, simple and modular in design, with work stations and displays that will take the cutlery shopping experience outside of the traditional display case.
“The shop will certainly enhance our knife skills classes. The work table that is in place can be utilized for selling knives on the spot and we will be able to have room to set-up mini knife skills classes as well. We see it as an opportunity for a full blown knife experience that adds a level of innovation in our space,” she said.
The opening will feature demonstrations by Wüshtof’s Chef Mike and there will also be free knife sharpening. The retailer is also offering a 15% storewide discount on purchases made during the evening.
Dwyer said the staff will also offer attendees champagne and three appetizer stations that include Crudite with Braised Fennel and Leek Spread; Sweet Potato S’mores Bites; and Herbed Cheese with Roasted Red Pepper Bruschetta. Tickets are available for $10.
