Cooks of Crocus Hill, which has several stores in the Minneapolis area, will host Mom Meals, a virtual cooking class that will feature a discussion with women farmers. The event will be held on Thursday, September 10 at 6 p.m. local time.
According to the retailer, Chef Tracy will prepare a healthful and flavorful meal designed for families. The menu will feature: Cheesy Potato Puffs; Handmade Meatballs and Marinara with Spaghetti; Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie with Ice Cream and Cold Milk.
And, as an added bonus, participants will have the opportunity to hear from local women farmers who will speak to key ingredients used and answer food questions as well. Children are encouraged to participate as well.
Cooks of Crocus Hill said the class is in partnership with CommonGround, a group of farm women who converse about the food they grow and how they produce it. They share personal experiences as well as science and research to help consumers sort through the myths surrounding food and farming.
Class participants will also be enrolled in a raffle for a $100 gift card to Cooks of Crocus Hill, courtesy of CommonGround.
