St. Paul, MN-based Cooks of Crocus Hill will host a class focused on the history of sushi on Saturday, January 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The class will be led by Koshiki Smith, a regular instructor at the store and former owner of Tanpopo Noodle Shop.
The retailer stated that the participation-style class will include an in-depth discussion about the origins of sushi and how to prepare it at home. Students will also roll their own sushi in a hands-on demonstration.
The menu includes: California Rolls; Spicy Tuna Rolls; Spicy Shrimp Roll; Smoked Salmon Sushi; Nigiri Sushi (tuna, shrimp, salmon or yellowtail); Shrimp Tempura Roll; and a Caterpillar Roll.
A ticket to the class cost $175.
