Cooks of Crocus Hill, with locations in St. Paul and Minneapolis, MN, will host chef and cookbook author Sean Brock for two upcoming events. The events are in support of Brock’s new cookbook “South: Essential Recipes and New Explorations”.
The retailer will present an “Evening With Sean Brock” at its St. Paul location on November 2 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. During this event, the James Beard award winner will showcase his passion for embracing and saving heritage animals, grains, and cooking techniques. The retailer’s cooking team will prepare a four-course ensemble of recipes from Brock’s book, of which each guest will receive a copy.
In addition, on November 3 at 1 p.m., the retailer will co-host, along with the local American Swedish Institute (ASI), a discussion with Brock and local chef Gavin Kaysen, about all things food and culture. Hailing from opposite ends of the country, each with a unique and interesting history, immigration, food and celebration, their stories will reveal the similarities and differences between North and South.
The event will take place at the American Swedish Institute and each guest will also receive a copy of Brock’s new cookbook.
