St. Paul, MN-based Cooks of Crocus Hill will welcome executive chef, cookbook author and NY Times food columnist David Tanis for a cooking class on Oct. 23 from 6-8 p.m. The class is in support of his latest cookbook, “David Tanis Market Cooking.”
Of the visit, the retailer said in its newsletter, “For almost 10 years, David has been a great friend of Cooks. We’re thrilled that he’s scheduled a visit to help launch his newest book.”
Cooks of Crocus Hill stated that Tanis will prepare recipes from the new cookbook including: Tomato Chutney and White Bean and Rosemary Spread with Grilled Flatbread; Wilted Kale Salad; Herb-Roasted Chicken Legs; Cauliflower Couscous with Spiced Butter; and Sage Sable Cookies with Gorgonzola with Honey.
Tanis was the executive chef of Chez Panisse and is a winner of Bon Appétit magazine’s “Cookbook of the Year.” Tickets for the class are available for $40 each. The price includes a copy of the new cookbook.
