Chef’s Shoppe Donates Holiday Wrapping Fees To Charity

Chef’s Shoppe Gourmet Kitchen, based in Edwardsville, IL, recently donated money from holiday gift wrapping to two local charities. The store charges a small fee for gift wrapping during the holiday season, it noted on its Facebook page, and that fee is donated after the season is through.

The store raised $1,400 and split the donation in half. Chef’s Shoppe gave half of the donation to Partners 4 Pets and the other half to Paint The Town Gold, an organization dedicated to raising money for pediatric cancer research.

“Thank you to everyone who shopped at the Chef’s Shoppe this holiday season and to those who had their gifts wrapped,” was posted on the store’s social media page.

Chef’s Shoppe Gourmet Kitchen was purchased by Nancy and Scott Schneider in 2006. By 2009, the couple had added a homemade fudge counter to the business and by 2012, the duo had also added popcorn. Most recently, the store welcomed a candy wall.
