Certified International has debuted the Madcap Cottage ceramic tabletop collection at the fall New York Tabletop Market. Madcap Cottage is a global lifestyle brand founded by designers John Loecke and Jason Oliver Nixon.
The company said the brand is known for its whimsical, sophisticated use of color, prints and patterns paired with an overarching spirit of accessible, approachable fun. Madcap Cottage includes lifestyle-driven product licenses that range from rugs, lighting, and fabric to wallpaper, tabletop, bedding, children’s furniture, and additional products through a variety of retail channels.
“Only John and Jason can imagine such beautiful harmony using different patterns and colors that complement and highlight each other.They are masters of design for the home, their vision works across all categories and it was a joy to work with them,” said Linda O’Donnell, design director of Certified International Corp.
The new assortment includes the English Garden line, which the duo designed as a way to bring fresh combinations of florals, patterns and colors into the home. English Garden includes an11-inch dinner plate; 9-inch salad plate; 16-ounce pedestal mug in a set of four; 5.5-inch pedestal ice cream bowls; shallow serving bowl; oval platter and pitcher with pedestal; 12-inch diameter cake stand; teapot and pineapple cookie jar.
The line, scheduled to hit retail in spring 2020, will also feature an assortment of platters, bowls and plates featuring a cabbage leaf shape and design. The English Garden series has a suggested retail price range of $7.99 to $149.99.
