Capresso has expanded its assortment of conical burr grinders with the launch of the Infinity Plus unit that is said by the company to offer capacity that is 25% larger and is equipped with several new features.
According to the company, the new grinder offers commercial-grade grinding through solid steel burrs that offer a high-precision advanced cutting design. It features 16 grind settings that range from extra fine Turkish to a very coarse setting for use with percolators or a French press.
“Capresso is moving beyond its good/better/best assortment with a premium plus offering in the Infinity Plus Grinder,” said April Strogen, director of marketing of Jura Inc. “New features allow for easy, precision grinding that unleashes the flavor and aroma of coffee beans.”
The bean container on the Infinity Plus is the largest in the Capresso line, accommodating 11 ounces of whole coffee beans. In addition, a new, upgraded bean container offers added strength and a clear design to showcase the coffee beans inside. The unit also features a new silkscreen design with a larger font, red indicators for clear viewing, and a new curved selector knob for a better grip, with easy-to-understand markings.
Company officials said the gear-reduction motor creates less friction and heat to maximize flavor and aroma while minimizing static buildup. The cup selector can grind from 1 to 12 cups, and the removable ground coffee container holds up to 4 ounces.
Properly maintaining and cleaning grinders is a key element to keeping them in top working condition. With the Capresso unit, users remove the upper burr and use the provided cleaning brush to clean out the chamber. A safety lock prevents grinding when the bean container is not in place. The company also suggests using Capresso Glean Grind monthly to help remove heavy build-up of coffee residue and oil.
The Capresso Infinity Plus Conical Burr Grinder, with coffee scoop and brush, comes gift boxed and carries a suggested retail price of $159.99 and is now available.
