Brooklyn Kitchen, located in Williamsburg, NY, will shutter the retail side of its business and move its cooking classes and food events to the Sunset Park Industry City complex.
In a recent local news article, co-owner Taylor Erkkinen stated that the shop will no longer carry merchandise. The new space will have a patio on which they’ll host guest chefs and grilling classes.
Brooklyn Kitchen opened in 2006 as a retail shop and carried kitchenware, locally-sourced non-perishables, and fresh produce, eventually adding butcher Meat Hook in 2009. Erkkinen and co-owner Harry Rosenblum opened BK Kitchen, located nearby, where the duo hosts cooking classes.
According to the retailer’s Facebook page, the Williamsburg space will still be used for private events and film shoots.
