Laurel, NY-based Bowery Fork has closed its doors. The store was billed as the sister store to New York, NY-based Bowery Kitchen and was opened by Robyn Coval, co-owner of Bowery Kitchen. The East End store was a joint venture between Coval and her best friend, Lori Balter, owner of Balter Sales, a NYC-based wholesale restaurant supply company.
“After two wonderful years in our sweet North Fork location, we have decided to close our doors,” the store’s social media page read. However, Coval and Balter noted that they will still be available to customers of Bowery Fork as a kitchen supply concierge service and would handle special orders.
“We thank the North Fork community for embracing us and we thank you for all your support,” the social media post continued.
Bowery Kitchen still remains open in New York’s Chelsea Market.
