The Spreader Knife Air from Bosign recently received the Red Dot Design Award for outstanding product design and innovation, the company announced.
Created and designed by Harald Hynell, founding designer at Bosign, the Spreader Knife Air is a self-standing spreader knife that the company stated minimizes the mess of spreading.
“During the design of Bosign’s Spreader Knife, one of the objectives was to integrate all the functionality in the natural shape of the butter knife. The result is a functional spreader knife with a clean shape,” said Hynell.
Ideal for spreading butter, jams, soft cheeses and dips Bosign’s Spreader Knife has a grip-friendly shape and the form of the handle adds extra power when cutting into the butter, the company said.
The Spreader Knife series is presented in two sizes and two materials, stainless steel and wood. In addition to the Red Dot Award, the Spreader Knife also took home the International Design Plus Award 2016 in February.
