Betty Bossi will launch its pastry Wonderbox, along with additional selections from its assortment, this fall.
According to the brand, the new gadget is designed to make it easy to create sweet or savory filled pastries. Home cooks can assemble small tasty bites from puffed pastry or other thin dough and their filling of choice, in the shape of pinwheels, little parcels or small oblong boats.
“The Wonderbox has been a sensation throughout Europe, a proven best seller with a design that is efficient, smart and unique. The Wonderbox makes fancy pastries fun and easy, instead of frustrating,” said Steve White, North American consultant for Betty Bossi.
The 5-piece set includes a functional base with dough cutter, a lid and three pastry inserts for different shapes, said the brand. To use, position the pastry insert of your choice inside the base. Roll out cold dough to 3mm (1/8 inch) and flour both sides. The edges of the base act as a dough cutter to create a perfectly fluted 3-inch square of rolled dough and hold it in place for assembly. Place the filling of choice in the center of the dough, and then pull the handle to fold the dough into the desired shape.
All Wonderbox parts are top-rack dishwasher safe. The three pastry inserts fit inside the box for organized, space-saving storage. It comes giftboxed, with a suggested retail price of $29.99 and will be available for shipment in late September.
