Bandon, OR-based Bandon Mercantile announced that it will be closing its doors this summer. The store has been in business for more than 35 years.
“Well after many, many years, the time has come to exit the retail world. We are very appreciative to all who have shopped here and become friends of the store. We have enjoyed serving you and this community over the last three and half decades and will continue to do our best in the weeks ahead,” was posted on the store’s Facebook page.
The store and the building are owned by Ed and Beth Wood, who have decided to retire. According to local news outlet, Bandon Western World, Bandon Mercantile’s largest emphasis has been on kitchen cookware and accessories, but the Woods added the upper clothing section of the store.
