Ace Hardware is set to open a new location in La Crescenta, CA, next month. The store will open in a former Orchard Supply Hardware location, which was shuttered by Lowe’s Home Improvement earlier this year.
“Why we are successful in the communities we serve is we’re very much a part of the community,” Tom Mentzer, Ace Hardware spokesperson, told the LA Times.
On Dec. 12, Ace will open its local store for a soft opening. A grand opening is scheduled for early next year, Mentzer said.
The new store will have several returning employees, including general manager Lawrence Stuart.
The brand will look to open 11 stores in California, all formerly Orchard Supple Hardware locations.
