Copco Returns To Its Designer Roots


Copco recently returned to its design-focused roots with a new collection of fashion forward portable beverageware, designed in partnership with industrial designer Harry Allen.

The new collection focuses on water, coffee and tea in a wide variety of vessels, including a 24-ounce Octagon Tritan bottle with a carry handle. John Roscoe Swartz, Copco division president, Lifetime Brands, which acquired the brand in 2016, noted that the new Octagon design most notably reflects the new approach the company is taking in regards to its portable beverageware.

“How can we take one of our everyday items and redesign them so they are special, more interesting and engaging? That’s the job of design. We want to make these everyday items improve our life with exciting shapes, forms, colors and things that we didn’t expect,” he said.

The line also includes a 16-ounce plastic mug with silicone sleeve, 16-ounce plastic desktop mug with silicone sleeve, 16-ounce plastic cup with handle, 16-ounce plastic desktop cup with handle, 16-ounce stainless steel tumbler and 16-ounce stainless steel tumbler with double strap handle.

The tumblers are available in stainless steel and the Tritan bottle, plastic mugs and plastic cups are available in colors such as Morning Sky, Spring Lavender, Smoke, Lilac Sachet and Corinthian Teal. Prices range from $6.99 to $9.99.

In addition, Swartz noted that the collaboration with Allen and the line’s new design and fashion focus is positioned to help the Copco brand expand its presence at retail. The eye-catching designs provide fresh products for retailers not currently carrying the Copco brand while enabling existing retail partners to expand their offerings with updated styles, shapes and colors.
