Alamo, CA-based The Kitchen at Alamo Hardware will host Food Network judge Anya Fernald to discuss her cookbook “Home Cooked – Essential Recipes for a New Way to Cook” on September 28. The event will take place from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
According to the store’s Facebook page, Fernald is also a sustainable food expert and a co-founder of the Belcampo Meat Company. Her cookbook focuses on old ways of cooking, such as building and cooking over a fire and preserving meat and produce. In the book Fernald also provides recipes and a how-to guide for preparing base ingredients that can be used to make weeknight meals.
