Cuba, MO-based Route 66 Mercantile has marked its third year in business. The business, owned by Ryan Thompson, carries cutlery, cookware and small kitchen electrics such as Zwilling J.A. Henckel, Kitchenaid, All-Clad and Breville. The company also expanded into vacuum cleaners, beds and bedding.
“[Three] years ago today we purchased the first half of Route 66 Mercantile. Time sure flies when you’re having fun,” said the retailer on its Facebook page.
On the heels of its third anniversary, Route 66 Mercantile has announced that is has put a contract in to purchase Fanning 66 Outpost.
“Route 66 Mercantile has put a contract on the Fanning 66 Outpost location! We are excited about reopening the general store and Feedstore and plan to replace the archery area with a Gourmet Popcorn, Candy and Soda store! Closing is not set for awhile and we will have a few renovations but fingers crossed everything will go smooth and the outpost will once again reopen for business,” was posted on the store’s Facebook feed.
Route 66 also recently launched Route 66 soda.
