0

Vendors at the spring New York Tabletop Market are focusing on developing new assortments that help consumers entertain at home. Barware, including bar tools and glass mixology-based assortments, are an important part of this effort.

Some highlights of this trend at the spring market included Nambé, which focused on a mixed material barware in its Vie line. Lenox debuted new metal Tuscany metal barware items. A variety of barware, from cocktail shakers to figural drinking vessels, were a key part of Lifetime Brands’ Mikasa offerings.

In glassware, Libbey showed its new bourbon tasting glass, while Artland and Luigi Bormioli both debuted glassware collections with a Mixology moniker, aimed at helping consumers create their own concoctions at home and to create an interactive experience with their guests.

Giftware was also important at the spring New York Tabletop Market. For example, Nambé debuted new alloy salt and pepper shakers with different animal designs. Fiskars’ Wedgwood’s Wonderlust range offered a giftware focus in tea, teaware and frames.

Several vendors are also providing glazes that help consumers get the metallic look, with the convenience of being microwave safe. Lenox’s Season’s Radiance offered up microwave safe gold looks, while Lifetime Brands and Gibson Overseas presented accents on its dinnerware in silver lookalikes in their showrooms.
