WWRD Holdings Limited recently announced the opening of The House of Waterford Crystal. The brand new facility features a crystal factory, visitor center and "retail experience" store, located in Waterford City, Ireland.
The factory will produce 40,000 luxury, handcrafted crystal pieces each year.
"We are extremely proud of the House of Waterford Crystal and its commitment to quality, heritage and cutting-edge design, representing everything that this brand stands for," said Pierre de Villeméjane, CEO of WWRD.
At the recent New York Tabletop Market, the factory reinterpreted some of the historic treasures that reside in the National Museum of Ireland with the Museum 20111 Collection. The grouping features six new limited-edition pieces that will be authenticated by the brand's artisans at the House of Waterford. The collection features candlesticks, vase, decanter, turnover bowl, serving plate with covered dome. The pieces range from $1500-$5000.
