Chef Dave and Karen West, owners of Rolling Pin Kitchen Emporium, were named Entrepreneurs of the year at the 2011 Cordon d’Or Gold Ribbon Culinary Academy Awards, held at The Don CeSar Beach Resort and Spa. They Culinary Academy Awards recognize chefs, cookbook authors and culinary teachers internationally and in Florida. Noreen Kinney, founder of the Cordon d’Or—Gold Ribbon, developed the awards to elevate interest in good food and raise interest in food to the level of recognition as a ‘Culinary Art’.
“We were surprised and thrilled to be recognized by this prestigious organization,” said the Wests. “To be included with such culinary masters such as Carlo Petrini, Michael’s on East, and CIA (The Culinary Institute of America) is quite an honor.”
