Ball home canning products, part of Newell Brands’ portfolio of brands, has unveiled its new Elite Sharing Jar collection. The Sharing Jar features a modern design, and is said to be ideal for sharing meals and gifting.
In partnership with Feeding America, Newell Brands will also donate four meals to families in need for every package of Sharing Jars purchased.
“Sharing with others is a value at the core of the Ball brand. The new Sharing Jars reaffirm that tenet as the design encourages users to can food at home and share with friends and family. And, the purchase of Sharing Jars helps feed people in need,” said Matt Christensen, marketing director of fresh preserving at Newell Brands. “This partnership with Feeding America allows us to give back.”
According to the company, it will donate $0.36 per package of the jars sold, up to $150,000, to Feeding America. One dollar helps provide 11 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks.
“Feeding America is thrilled to partner with Newell Brands in their efforts to help the more than 42 million people in the United States who face hunger, including 13 million children,” said Nancy Curby, svp/corporate partnerships and operations, Feeding America.
The new collection is available on FreshPreserving.com and in retailers nationwide this spring.
